Duocal Belgian Waffles

Indulgent and tasty with even more calories

Makes 4 servings

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ cup Super Soluble Duocal Powder
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 4 egg whites
  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 cups 2% milk
  • Cooking spray

Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer's instructions.

Mix flour, baking powder, and Duocal.

In a separate bowl, mix egg yolks and sugar until completely dissolved.  Add vanilla extract, melted butter, and milk.  Combine mixture with flour mixture.

In another bowl, beat egg whites with electric mixer for one minute.  Then gently fold beaten egg whites into main mixture.

Coat waffle iron with cooking spray and add enough mixture to cover waffle grid. 

Cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
